What is acupuncture and can it be used on my pet?

Acupuncture is the insertion of very fine needles into specific points of the body to rebalance its energy. Acupuncture points are located on the 'Meridians' or pathways through which the body's energy flows. Stimulation of acupuncture points can produce: Analgesia (pain reduction); anti-inflammation through a release of natural steroids, increased blood circulation, and muscle relaxation.

Acupuncture has been shown to be beneficial in treating the following conditions:

Arthritis
Gastro-intestinal upset
Seizure disorders
Neurological disorders
Musculoskeletal disorders
